• Account: email and display name when you create an account (Apple, Google, or email).
• Usage: reading progress, notes, highlights, achievements — stored to sync across your devices.
• Diagnostics: anonymous performance and crash data to improve the app.
• Analytics: aggregated events (screens viewed, features used) without personal identifiers.
• Prayer requests: text you publish to the community, with your display name.

How We Use Your Data

• Operate and improve the Services.
• Personalize reading plans and devotionals.
• Sync progress across your devices.
• Ensure security and prevent abuse (auto-moderation).
• Comply with legal obligations.

What We Do NOT Do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not track your activity outside Verbo. We do not share your email with advertisers.

Third-Party Sharing

We share data only with providers that help us operate the app (Firebase for authentication and storage, RevenueCat for subscriptions, OneSignal for notifications), under contractual confidentiality obligations. We comply with Apple and Google privacy policies.

Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. Prayer requests are automatically deleted after 7 days. When you delete your account, all data is removed within 30 days.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable laws, you may:

• Access your data.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request portability.
• Delete your account (Profile → Settings → Delete account).
• Withdraw consent at any time.

Children

The Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors in that range. Parents or guardians may contact us to remove any data collected improperly.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in other countries (Google Cloud servers) with appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We employ encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, multi-factor authentication on administrative systems, and least-privilege access controls.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated in the app. The date above reflects the last update.
